BASF to increase price for styrene-butadiene and styrene-acrylic based polymers in North America
CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 6, 2015 – Effective May 15, 2015 or as contracts allow, BASF will increase prices for styrene-butadiene and styrene-acrylic latex polymers sold in North America. Prices will increase up to $0.05 per wet pound ($0.10 per dry pound) on some Acronal®, Styrofan® Styronal®, Butofan®, and Butonal® products sold into the carpet, paper, construction and fiberbonding related industries.
Recent cost increases in the production and delivery of these products have made the price increases necessary.
