BASF names Horn Company as 2013 Kaolin Distributor of the Year

CHARLOTTE, NC, May 20, 2014 -- BASF is pleased to announce Horn Company of La Mirada, California as the winner of the 2013 BASF Kaolin Distributor of the Year Award.  BASF presented the award during the BASF Kaolin distributor breakfast, as the kickoff to the American Coatings Show in Atlanta, Georgia.  Several key executives from Horn were in attendance to receive the award. 

“This is the first time a BASF partner received a perfect score,” said BASF Sales Manager Brian Newsome. “Horn's year after year of outstanding performance, superior customer relationships and growth make them a model for us all. It is truly a pleasure and honor to work with them."  Horn is the exclusive distributor for BASF kaolin in the western United States.

BASF also presented the 2013 Special Recognition Award to Lorama Group International of Milton, Ontario Canada during the distributor breakfast.  Lorama is BASF Kaolin’s exclusive distributor for Canada.  According to BASF Sales Manager Manuel Voigt, “Using a technical sales approach, the Lorama Group continues to demonstrate excellence in developing new business.  This approach has yielded double digit sales

growth in Latin America, and in 2013 Lorama extended this excellence to include their Canadian Distribution.”
