BASF honored for environmental safety work

MAULDIN, SC, May 20, 2014, -- The BASF site in Mauldin, South Carolina was recently honored by Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) with a Compliance Excellency Award which is presented each year to local industries that are in complete compliance with ReWa's Sewer Use Regulation. BASF was one of 43 companies honored that were in complete compliance for the year, meaning no violations of its permit.

ReWa provides wastewater treatment services to Greenville County and portions of Spartanburg, Laurens and Anderson counties. Its goal is to promote a cleaner environment and to protect the public health and water quality of the Upstate waterways, while providing and developing the necessary sewer infrastructure for the growing economy.
