BASF in South Africa and The Pink Forum join forces to empower Early Childhood Development Centres on Mandela Day 2023

Johannesburg, Gauteng – BASF in South Africa, in collaboration with The Pink Forum, is proud to announce it’s continued commitment to making a difference in the lives of children in Kanana, Tembisa through the Mandela Day 2023 initiative. Building upon the success of last year's partnership, this year's program aims to enhance the holistic well-being of children in early childhood development (ECD) centres by providing educational resources, toys, toiletries, and professional guidance for their caregivers.

BASF South Africa partners with The Pink Forum this Mandela Day to bring colour to the world of the children of Kanana, Tembisa.

BASF in collaboration with The Pink Forum and Plascon join forces to renovate and equip five (5) children’s libraries in Kanana informal settlement by painting and equipping these centers with tile flooring, donating stationery and books to equip the children’s facilities. These Children’s libraries established in Early Childhood Development Centers will be the first of their kind in this community.

By developing new adhesives for labels Acronal RCF 3705 and Acronal RCF 3706, BASF has made a decisive contribution towards more sustainable labeling, as they no longer interfere with paper and paperboard recycling.

BASF has developed new adhesives for labels that no longer interfere with paper and paperboard recycling

BASF has achieved a breakthrough in the development of adhesives that do not interfere with the recycling of transport boxes, such as paperboard and cardboard boxes with paper labels coated with Acronal RCF 3705 or Acronal RCF 3706. By developing the recycling friendly adhesives, BASF has made a decisive contribution towards more sustainable labeling and reaffirms their commitment to achieving a sustainable circular economy as set forth in the European Union’s Green Deal. The innovative adhesive technologies open up completely new possibilities for a working circular economy, both in the packaging industry as well as in many other sectors.
