BASF in Korea

BASF has been doing business in Korea since 1954, and is a leading foreign investor in the Korean chemical industry. BASF’s Korean entity, BASF Company Ltd., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BASF SE and also maintains the Asia Pacific regional headquarters of its electronic materials business in Seoul.

BASF provides a broad portfolio of solutions to customers in Korea, and operates eight production sites located in Yeosu, Ulsan, Gunsan, Ansan, Yesan, Onsan, and Gimcheon, in addition to its Seoul office, which oversees sales and administrative functions. The company also runs several R&D facilities in Ansan, including the Electronic Materials R&D Center, the Engineering Plastics Innovation Center, the CAE technical center, and the Performance Materials design center, as well as a Technical Center in Dongtan.
