Located in the talent and leadership development cluster of Rochester 20, BASF Learning Campus (Singapore) will offer regional and global leadership and business-related programs to BASF employees across Asia Pacific, thereby supporting BASF’s ambitious strategic targets in the region. The S$10 million ( € 6 million) facility is located in three heritage houses with a total of 6,300 square meters of indoor and outdoor space. It will serve as a platform to support innovation and the future development of BASF’s business. As of December 31, 2013, BASF employed more than 16,000 people in the Asia Pacific region, including 713 in Singapore.

“Through science and innovation, we enable our customers in nearly every industry to meet the current and future needs of society. Through our Learning Campus, we want to help our employees to develop the skills they need to develop innovations in cooperation with our customers and other stakeholders,” said Brudermüller. “BASF decided on Singapore as the location for the Learning Campus in Asia Pacific as it is a global leader in talent and leadership development. As an essential business hub for Asia Pacific, Singapore allows us to connect our learning activities with close customer interaction. Partnerships with our stakeholders are key for us in achieving our strategic objectives.”

“We are delighted that BASF has chosen Singapore to establish its first Learning Campus outside of Germany. BASF’s strong commitment to talent development here is a testament to Singapore’s positioning as a Home for Talent in Asia, where companies can partner with leading institutions to access, manage and develop talent to enable business growth and innovation. We warmly welcome BASF as a strategic partner of our talent and leadership development efforts, and look forward to deepening this partnership in the years ahead.” said Mr Yeoh Keat Chuan, Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).
