BASF Gastronomie stands for more than just "canteen". In addition to eleven company restaurants in and around the Ludwigshafen site, which are used daily by approximately 10,000 employees, the product portfolio also includes event venues and hotels as well as the BASF Weinkeller. The versatile event venues have various rooms that can be used for seminars, conferences or celebrations with up to 1,300 guests. In the Gesellschaftshaus restaurant, employees and external guests have the opportunity to dine in an upscale setting. Guests can relax or work undisturbed at the 4-star superior Hotel René Bohn in Ludwigshafen, at Haus Breitnau in the Black Forest, and at the Studienhaus St. Johann in the Palatinate. Founded in 1901, the wine cellar houses over 2,000 national and international wines, making it one of the largest in Rhineland-Palatinate.
