In procurement you will buy technical goods, raw materials, services, and logistics solutions.

Our procurement activities cover whatever is needed to produce and distribute BASF products, for example raw materials, technical goods or logistics services. We work with competitive suppliers who sustainably contribute to the value of BASF and our customers.

What we expect

Are you in the middle of your business or engineering course and want to test how to implement the theory into practice? Then you've come to the right place. In addition to team skills and a high degree of commitment, you bring a clear interest in the diverse and complex issues in procurement, analytical skills and strong communication skills.

Ideally you will take three to six months to demonstrate your commitment and talent in an internship or dissertation project.

Breathe practical air in Direct Procurement. The team will support you to create and implement strategies to deliver the raw materials used at our global production sites.

Or get to know the Indirect Procurement unit which is responsible for the competitive, reliable and punctual procurement of technical goods and services.

It is also possible to get insight into Logistics Procurement, which is responsible for purchasing all necessary logistics services.

The central procurement functions are based in Ludwigshafen, Germany. There are also deployment opportunities at German and European locations.

Which responsibilities can you expect?

As part of your placement or thesis you can expect challenging and responsible tasks. This includes, for example, analyzing and preparing data using SAP and MS Office. You will also support us on selected issues for the operational day-to-day business, such as order processing and deadline tracking. As part of your thesis you can develop your own ideas and push innovative projects forward together with us.
