A collaboration between Matrix Polymers Australia (MPA) and BASF Australia and BASF Malaysia began with an innovative project in 2021 to enhance the longevity of rotomoulded water storage tanks. Initially utilising BASF’s advanced product, Irgastab^® IS 2515 P, this partnership successfully developed tanks with UV resistance lasting over 15 years.

BASF trinamiX device helps Precious Plastic Monash (PPM) with plastic waste solutions

Earlier in the year, BASF Australia loaned a trinamiX Mobile Near Infrared (NIR) Spectroscopy device to Precious Plastic Monash (PPM), a group of multidisciplinary student volunteers from Monash University who are part of the global Precious Plastic community that aims to tackle and provide solutions to the ever growing presence of plastic pollution.

Termidor celebrates 20 years with local community treat

The hall hosts a range of community and social events, from BBQs to meetings, dances with local bands, community information days and just recently wakes. If you could pick only one word to describe Dmitriy Kan, it would definitely be 'optimistic'. The glass is always half full, and there is always a new corner of the earth to explore, with Australia as his latest destination. Dmitriy and his family arrived in Melbourne about four months ago from Moscow, Russia, where he was previously working as a Senior Mining Tech Specialist for BASF Russia.

Elie’s limited exposure to Australia left him with almost zero expectations – but he eagerly grabbed this golden opportunity as he knew this stint, albeit short would help him develop his skills and knowledge in the mining field, while learning about other aspects of BASF especially understanding customers from different regions, providing a learning experience that would thoroughly benefit his career. Excited about what was to come, he began preparing for his temporary relocation from early this year before finally flying to Australia in June this year.

If there is a phrase to best describe our third GROW Graduate for the year, it would be 'the great outdoors' as James Thompson is certainly someone who lives for outdoor adventures. This 25-year-old from Silvan, Victoria, learnt about agriculture and horticulture from a very young age, allowing him to develop an appreciation for farming by experiencing various aspects and roles within the industry.
