BASF Corporate Strategy

Who we are

We create chemistry for a sustainable future

We combine economic success with environmental protection and social responsibility.

BASF in Nigeria continues to invest in innovation capabilities and currently hosts three laboratories on its site – the first ever ethnic skin and hair care laboratory in Sub Sahara Africa; Micronutrients Laboratory supporting the food fortification agenda; and the iconic Waste-2-Chemicals laboratory, dedicated to giving Nigerian crude oil a second chance and enabling a circular economy.

Our portfolio is organized into six segments: Chemicals, Materials, Industrial Solutions, Surface Technologies, Nutrition & Care and Agricultural Solutions.

Powering local businesses
Chemistry is a key enabler for value creation – we touch and improve the lives of millions of Nigerians across many industries such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, food, hygiene, beauty, construction, oil and gas and many more.
