Personal wind power
A wind turbine you can pack in the back of your car and take with you – nemoi, developed by Argentinean company Semtive, stands 1.5 meters high, weighs 25 kilograms and is easy to assemble.
That makes it ideal as a backup for conventional generators in remote areas or for saving energy costs at home. Its vertical axis design means it can work even with light breezes. Made of 95 percent recyclable materials, it can be equipped with a solar panel and generate up to 450 watts per hour. A deep cycle battery stores energy for when the wind doesn’t blow.
