Heather Remley

Heather Remley is President & CEO of BASF Corporation, a role she assumed in April 2025. In this position, Remley leads BASF Corporation, the largest subsidiary of BASF SE, which employs approximately 16,000 people across North America.

Remley brings extensive global leadership experience to the role, having served in key positions throughout the United States, China, and Germany. Most recently, she served as President of BASF’s Global Engineering Services division, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Prior to that, after joining BASF in 2016, she was Senior Vice President for BASF’s Petrochemicals business in North America, based in Houston, Texas.

Remley has more than 25 years of experience in business leadership, operations, and engineering, building a career spanning multiple continents and disciplines. Prior to joining BASF, she spent nearly two decades at Air Products & Chemicals Inc., where she held various executive and management positions. She served as Vice President of Industrial Gases in Houston, Texas, and previously held roles including Vice President & General Manager of Asia Merchant Gases in Shanghai, China, and Vice President of Global Engineering for Asia. Throughout her career, she has managed commercial operations, manufacturing, and engineering in the United States, China, and Germany.

Born in Pennsylvania, Remley holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College.
