BASF strongly condemns the attack on Ukraine ordered by the Russian government. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and hope that this war ends as fast as possible.

A crisis team continues to support BASF employees in Ukraine. To help people in Ukraine, BASF has provided 1 million euros in emergency aid to the German Red Cross at the end of February 2022.

In addition, BASF employees from around the world donated more than €2.1 million by mid-April 2022 to support their Ukrainian colleagues. BASF has doubled this amount in support of Ukrainian refugees.

As announced on March 3, 2022, BASF has not conducted new business in Russia and Belarus, in light of the war of aggression against Ukraine ordered by the Russian government.

In addition, BASF also wound down nearly all of the company's remaining business activities in Russia and Belarus at the beginning of July 2022. Exempt from this decision is business to support food production, as the war risks triggering a global food crisis.
