Research and Development center in Trostberg

At its Trostberg site near Lake Chiemsee in Upper Bavaria, BASF Construction Additives GmbH employs 350 people and manufactures more than 220 different products that improve the workability of construction materials and increase their durability. These are additives for fillers, gypsum and mortar, as well as products for use in oil and gas production, especially for drilling fluids and deep drilling cementing. As part of BASF's Research Verbund, specialists and scientists at the Research and Development Center at the Trostberg site conduct basic research and develop products in the fields of construction chemicals and oilfield and mining chemicals.
