Mit autonom fahrenden Fahrzeugen (AGV) kann der Transport von Tankcontainern deutlich verkürzt werden. Das BASF AGV ist das erste vollautomatische Fahrzeug, das mit einer Zuladung von 78 Tonnen zusammen mit dem übrigen Verkehr auf einer normalen Straßeninfrastruktur fahren kann. With automated guided vehicles (AGV) the time for the transport of tank containers can be reduced significantly. The BASF AGV is the first fully automated vehicle which can drive together with other traffic on normal streets while having a payload of 78 metric tons.

Since 2021, BASF uses the IT solution “EcoTransIT” to calculate CO2 emissions of freight transport, including BASF internal transports as well as transports from BASF to customers.
