The primary goal of the campaign was to encourage BASF employees to actively recycle their e-waste to minimize environmental pollution and reduce potential health risks associated with improper disposal. Reflecting the commitment and dedication of BASF employees towards a greener future, the campaign successfully collected a total of 1560 kilograms of e-waste, which is equivalent to the weight of an adult hippopotamus.
The types of e-waste collected included small gadgets such as handphones, laptops, power bank, and hair dryers, as well as larger appliances like printers and desktop computers. The campaign saw participation from a significant number of employees across various BASF offices and sites throughout the country.
The success of this campaign underscores BASF's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility. By engaging employees in meaningful actions, BASF continues to lead by example in fostering a responsible and eco-conscious culture within the organization.
