Product Stewardship and Global Product Strategy

We continuously work to ensure that our products pose no risk to people and the environment when used responsibly and in the manner intended. With our commitment to Product Stewardship as part of the Responsible Care Initiative, the Global Product Strategy and other initiatives of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), we are dedicated to continuously minimizing the negative influences of our products on safety, health and environment along the value chain – from development to disposal.

Product Stewardship Worldwide

The knowledge on our products and their uses as well as the close collaboration with our customers are essential for Product Stewardship at BASF. We have established global standards and targets which go significantly beyond legal requirements.

Global Product Stategy (GPS)

The ICCA (International Council of Chemical Associations) program Global Product Strategy enhances Product Stewardship performance of the chemical industry worldwide with a focus on developing and emerging economies.

REACH

REACH is the European Chemicals Law and stands for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals. Its main aim is to ensure the high level of protection of human health and environment.
