At BASF, we are committed to maintaining strong relationships with legally compliant and ethical business partners. To ensure this, we have implemented a comprehensive due diligence process supported by an innovative software tool, BASF Trust Base.

Ensuring that our business partners act with integrity and comply with the law is essential for maintaining the trust and reliability of our commercial relationships. BASF Trust Base helps us meet legal obligations in various countries and supports us in following thorough with our core values as expressed in our Code of Conduct.

What is BASF Trust Base?

BASF Trust Base is an advanced digital solution designed to streamline our due diligence procedures. The Due Diligence Process

Our due diligence process involves the following elements:

  1. Initial Screening
All new business partners are screened for any red flags, such as sanctions, corruptive practices, or non-compliance with ESG standards. This initial check helps us make informed decisions about establishing new commercial relationships.
  2. Acceptance of the BASF Supplier Code of Conduct
During the initial process, all suppliers are asked to commit to the values of the BASF Supplier Code of Conduct, which covers human rights, governance, and environmental aspects.
  3. Ongoing Monitoring
BASF Trust Base continues to monitor our business partners regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements and our standards. This proactive approach allows us to address any issues promptly.
