Explore BASF in Asia Pacific

The 220 hectare Verbund site in Nanjing is approximately one-third of the size of the Ludwigshafen site. BASF-YPC Co. Ltd. is a 50:50 joint venture between BASF and SINOPEC with a total investment volume of $2.9 billion.

Asia Pacific has become increasingly important for BASF in recent decades. The success story began in 1885 with trading in textile dyes. Today, BASF serves almost all key industries in the region. China is a particular focus. We are expanding our excellent market position there and thus accelerating BASF's profitable growth in the world's largest chemical market.
