P2 Science, Inc.

P2 Science, Inc., (P2) a green chemistry company, was launched in November 2011 in Woodbridge (Connecticut), USA, as a spin-out from Yale University. P2 has developed a set of chemistry technologies for converting renewable feedstocks into high-value specialty products.
 
The company has recently commissioned its first commercial manufacturing plant in Connecticut, USA and is now selling aroma chemicals and cosmetics ingredients to multinational companies in these markets. P2 uses highly intensified processes to mimic nature’s chemistry in the production of renewable specialty chemicals. Key areas of application include fragrances, cosmetics, polymers and bio-actives.

Investors in P2 include BASF Venture Capital, Xeraya Capital, Elm Street Ventures, Connecticut Innovations and Ironwood Capital.
