2000 / First Verbund Site in Asia

In Kuantan, Malaysia, the first BASF Verbund site in Asia goes into operation. It is a key component in BASF’s strategy for the Asia Pacific region.

Together with the Chinese corporation SINOPEC, BASF inaugurates its integrated Verbund site in Nanjing, China, in 2005. The new site represents the largest single investment in BASF’s history thus far.
