Good cooperation with the German Commision for UNESCO
For 12 years, BASF Stiftung has been supporting the STEP project - a successful project of the German Commission for UNESCO and Leuphane University Lüneburg to reduce youth unemployment in countries of the Global South. In the programme, young people from countries with high unemployment (up to 80%) learn to take initiative and start their own business. BASF Stiftung has been supporting STEP since 2012 in Uganda, Kenya, Mexico, the Philippines and South Africa to give young people perspectives. Currently, the project is being extended beyond the borders into the region.
