BASF Metals Recycling Limited has a state-of-the-art recycling facility at Cinderford in Gloucestershire. It is fully dedicated to the recovery of precious metals from spent automotive catalytic converters.

Processing catalytic converters, which contain recoverable metal content, ensures a robust secondary source of vital resources such as platinum, palladium and rhodium.

ScienceXperience at Cinderford

ScienceXperience is an on-site interactive science resource for young learners from the local community. Pupils from neighbouring schools are invited to visit our site where they will be treated to a site tour and will join in a series of scientific experiments that demonstrate some of the work we do at our Cinderford site.

The programme is run by a group of passionate volunteer employees looking to inspire the next generation and to encourage a long-lasting love of science.
