With a combination of cross-departmental and department-specific tasks, we offer varied and challenging opportunities within the different controlling units of BASF - in the business areas, regions and functions as well as in corporate controlling. Your contribution will support management in decision-making, promote the exchange with other functions and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines. On the basis of your controlling method knowledge, you will take responsibility and act as a reliable partner who critically questions decisions. You will have a "bird's eye view" of our company, will contribute to value-led management and thus actively design the future of BASF.

How to become a part of our controlling community

After completing your studies you can join the controlling community directly as a junior controller in one of the controlling units. You will take on responsibility "on the job" and handle demanding (sub-) projects in an international environment.

Alternatively after your studies you can join as a trainee on our 18-month trainee program START IN Finance, Controlling & Audit and get an overview of the various fields of activity in the departments. We will agree on your working locations and later your target position individually, based on mutual interest.

What you should offer!

We are looking for graduates with above-average performance and an excellent business economics degree. Ideally, you have already acquired initial practical experience through internships in controlling/finance departments. As a global company, we build on your strong intercultural orientation, which you will have ideally developed abroad by studying or through internships. You have fluent German and English, are confident in using standard IT applications, are highly motivated to push things forward and enjoy working in teams. The ability to act as an entrepreneur and be persuasive round off your profile.

Which responsibilities can you expect?

As part of your direct start you carry out analyses and annotations and produce reports. You contribute your expertise in controlling project issues and hereby support the controlling network in a specific project.

As a trainee you will become familiar with different subject areas and thus receive a comprehensive understanding of both unit-specific as well as cross-unit tasks. In this way, you will have the chance to take on exciting project tasks from day one.
