With high pressure and surface technology as well as additive manufacturing, we offer customers selected technical services and guarantee maximum investment security through durability and reliable services. BASF is the only supplier of high pressure and surface technology worldwide that also uses these technical components in its own production facilities. We have been qualifying metal components using our own additive manufacturing machines and applying our own expertise since 2015.

Global Engineering Services

Within the BASF Group, the Global Engineering Services division controls all processes for plant engineering as well as all activities arising in the context of technical expertise. New processes or technologies for the BASF Group – Global Engineering Services is the innovation driver of large-scale implementation. We support all BASF divisions in converting process innovations from research into economic success and systematically develop our technologies, tools and products.

Our employees have comprehensive technical expertise that means they are able to find a solution for virtually every technical challenge within the BASF Group. We have amassed extensive operator knowledge through daily and intensive exchange with our operative divisions. As a result, we are able to ensure a permanent feedback of experiences from plant operation into engineering and maintenance concepts and we can optimize lifecycle costs further.

Next to craftsmen, technicians and master craftsmen, we employ around 1,000 engineers from the fields of process technology, electrical engineering, automation technology and mechanical engineering – and their numbers are growing.
