How does the global job search work?

The global job search shows open position for all BASF Group companies worldwide. If you have found an interesting position, you are at first forwarded to BASF’s talent community where you can create a job agent to get information and news from BASF. Then, you will be redirected automatically to the matching regional online application system. You can find an overview of the different systems here.

How does BASF's talent community work?

You can register for a job agent via BASF’s talent community and get information and news from BASF. Membership in the talent community is not equivalent with membership in the European Talent Pool (ETP), which is invitation-only. The registration in the talent community does not constitute an application.

How does the automatic data transfer work? (Fom Dropbox, Google Drive, XING, LinkedIn or Viadeo?)

Automatic data transfer is a new feature in our online application system. To use this service, you can (after your registration ) either upload a resume as a file from your hard drive, from Dropbox ( after registration ) or Google Drive. The system recognizes and then transmits all relevant data to the matching fields, and in the end you only have to check the transmitted data and correct it if necessary, and then continue with your application. Instead of transmitting data via your CV you can also transfer your data from XING, LinkedIn or Viadeo. After clicking on the respective button you will be asked to provide BASF with access to your data. We will then transfer your data once. There will be no permanent connection to the portals. You can of course still enter your data manually.

What is the maximum size file I can upload?

Files such as scanned certificates must be no larger than 5MB each.  Please try to use .pdf formats where possible.

I cannot upload my application documents. What can I do?

Our online application system accepts the following formats:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, PDF, TIFF graphics, JPEG or JPG, plain text or XML. The maximum file size must be no larger than 5MB each. If you still cannot upload your documents, please use our contact form.

Why can't I send my online application?

In this case, please use our contact form or contact our candidate hotline (tel. no.: 00800 33 0000 33).

What can I do when my login data does not work?

Please request your access data via the login page in our online application system. If this does not work, please request you access data by completing our contact form or by telephone: 00800 33 0000 33.

What can I do when I lose my login data?

Please request your access data via the login page in our online application system. If this does not work, please request you access data by completing our contact form or by telephone: 00800 33 0000 33.

When generating an online application, can I interrupt the application and log on again later?

You can interrupt your application at any time. Your draft will be saved in your profile. As long as you do not click "Send Application", you can complete your application at a later date provided that the position is still vacant.

During the application process, can I change parts of my application that I have already uploaded?

You can update your application documents at any time using our online application system. You can log in using the login details you have received.

How can I agree to my data being saved?

To agree to data storage, please log in to your online application profile and save your data privacy agreement there.

How can I change my language profile for correspondence?

Please log in to your online application profile.
You can now configure your language settings: Select the language you require using "Personal settings".

Can I remove my application?

You can remove your application at any time on our online application system. Please log in with your access data.

Can I delete my profile?

Please use our contact form to do this.

How can I deactivate the Jobagent?

There are two ways to get information on new positions. You can either create job agents via the BASF talent community. To delete these, you can either log into the talent community and delete your job agent via clicking on the x symbol, or you can click on the “unsubscribe” link, which can be found in every job agent e-mail.
Or you can create job agents via our European online application system. To delete these, please log into your candidate profile and select the item “job agent”. Here, you can edit or delete your job agents

Do I need to register again, if I want to apply in another region ?

You can use data already stored in our online application system for further applications. When you want to apply in another region, you might have to register again. Via our global job search you are always redirected to the correct online application system. Here, you can find an overview of the various systems in the regions.
