Mining boots made with Elastopan®
Made of BASF's Elastopan®, these mining boots are 40% lighter and 3 times more scratch resistant than the conventional kind. In addition, it has 60% stronger thermal insulation compared to rubber and PVC.

designfabrik® offers costumers an inspiring selection of material samples and application examples such as the office swivel chair MOVYis3 (center of picture), which was developed in collaboration with the furniture manufacturer Interstuhl. This was one of the first serially produced items made of the new Ultramid SI grades (SI: surface improved). They combine technical properties that are typical of polyamides with a high-quality surface appearance.
The Winkel w127 desk lamp was developed by designer Dirk Winkel for the Swedish manufacturer Wästberg. It is produced from Ultramid S Balance, a BASF polyamide consisting of up to 60 % renewable raw materials. With its all-plastic design, it is solid and high-quality at the same time.
