The Afterlife of Waste
In the midst of a global pandemic that has increased the use of disposable goods, conversations about how individuals, industry, and governments can each contribute towards our collective goal of reducing waste that ends up in landfill and the environment is now more important than ever. ‘The Afterlife of Waste’ is a documentary short produced by BASF Canada and Bullfrog Power that explores the opportunities and challenges of implementing a circular economy in Canada.

reciChain Canada
reciChain is a pilot project that was designed to prove that circularity, the action of maintaining a product’s value through the product’s lifecycle and into a new product, is feasible, cost effective and can be enabled through recycling. The reciChain project pushed innovative boundaries through its approach to circular economy, the physical marker, and blockchain. The pilot successfully proved the technical feasibility of a plastics circular economy by tracking the lifecycle of each product from pellet to pellet.
