BASF named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the 11th consecutive year
Mississauga, ON, November 15, 2024 - BASF has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers by Mediacorp for the 11th consecutive year. This award recognizes employers that stand out as exceptional workplaces for their cutting-edge and progressive programs.
Mediacorp, Canada’s largest publisher of employment periodicals, cited BASF for its employee engagement and community outreach activities and its focus on sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion. These initiatives include volunteering opportunities, donation drives, and fundraising efforts to empower employees, promote collaboration and networking, and contribute to the well-being of the communities in which BASF operates.
BASF was also recognized for its employee support programs, including a scholarship program for employees’ children, tuition subsidies, adoption and compassionate leave top-up pay.
“This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to creating a workplace where employees feel engaged, supported, and empowered to make a difference,” said Apala Mukherjee, President of BASF Canada. “We believe that our success is directly linked to the well-being of our team and the communities we serve. That’s why we remain dedicated to investing in programs that enable us to create a more sustainable and inclusive future together.”
The editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers evaluate employers using eight criteria: physical workplace, work atmosphere, social, health, financial, and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
BASF Canada’s commitment to its employees has earned the company multiple other awards, including Top Employers for Young People (2024), Best Diversity Employer (2024), Greater Canada’s Top Employers (2024), and 5-Star Benefit Program Award (2024).
