- Recognized by Mediacorp as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the 9th consecutive year.
- Named one of the Greater Toronto Area’s Top Employers by Mediacorp for the 10th consecutive year.
MISSISSAUGA, ON, December 9th, 2022 – Mediacorp has named BASF as one of Canada’s and the Greater Toronto Area’s Top Employers for its ongoing commitment to its employees’ development, health and family-friendly benefits and overall work environment.
Mediacorp, Canada’s largest publisher of employment periodicals, cited BASF for its career and personal development programs, which include a tuition reimbursement program, and for its extensive benefits package and support programs, such as extended parental leave options, retirement planning and group benefits.
BASF is also being acknowledged for its work environment, which offers a flexible hybrid work model and a new sustainable focused office space. The new office promotes collaboration through an open-concept design and a variety of green features such as a living wall, electric vehicle charging stations, enhanced recycling systems and external green spaces.
“At BASF, we focus on supporting our employees, both personally and professionally,” said Apala Mukherjee, President of BASF Canada. “Both awards recognize our continued efforts to address the constantly evolving needs based on employee feedback.”
Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and Greater Toronto Area’s Top Employers using eight criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
BASF Canada’s commitment to its employees has earned the company other awards, such as Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes (2022).
