Open-house Saturday in the BASF Visitor Center

On open‑house Saturdays, we offer our younger and older guests an eventful program.

Buckle up and let's go! On the BASF open-house Saturday you can take part in a tour across the world's largest contiguous chemical site or experiment with your children (ages six to twelve) in BASF's Kids' Lab.

To ensure that the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) can continue to be contained, BASF relies on visitors observing mandatory rules of distance and hygiene and takes measures to reduce the risk of infection.

Important information for your visit

ATTENTION: Participation in factory tours & Kids' Lab workshops only for registered guests! The exhibition of the Visitor Center remains closed.

Children aged 6 and above may participate in a site tour.

Adults are asked to bring their identity card with them.

Important hygiene & safety regulations for your visit

· Please visit us only if you are completely healthy!

· All guests must have either

· a negative Corona test from an official testing center (rapid antigen test not older than 24 hours or PCR test not older than 48

hours),

· proof of complete vaccination (second vaccination at least 14 days ago)

· or a present a convalescent proof.

· Pupils and children up to and including 11 years of age are exempt from this requirement.

· The contact recording of each participant via the Luca App is necessary, please inform your guests in advance so that everyone

has the App already installed and you can Check-In faster. If guests do not have a smartphone with them, there is the

possibility to register on site via a contact form of Luca.

· Our visitor parking lot is still available for you.

· All guests are requested to wear a medical mask (surgical- or FFP2-mask) from the moment they enter the Visitor Center as well

as before and during the tours of the plant.

· Please wash your hands in the rest rooms or disinfect your hands immediately after entering the Visitor Center.

· Our visitors must maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 metres during the entire visit, group formation is to be avoided.

· In addition, the hygiene tips of the Federal Centre for Health Education (Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung) as

signposted on site apply.

Throughout this year, the focus of the site tours is on the theme of “Innovations at BASF - yesterday and today”. You will find out how BASF develops new products and solutions for the challenges of the future.

In the experimental program "Clever Foodies", families with children aged 6 to 12 years explore together the question "Why is fruit and vegetable colorful and healthy? A family-friendly site tour rounds off the experimental experience.
