BASF resolves New Zealand patent dispute against Sledge 700WG – a saflufenacil-based herbicide

  • Adria New Zealand Limited has removed the product Sledge 700WG from sale in New Zealand
  • BASF saflufenacil products and innovative formulations assist farmers in controlling difficult to manage weeds
  • BASF continues to invest in R&D as part of a commitment to sustainable agriculture

 

Melbourne, Australia – 10 July 2024 – BASF SE has settled a patent dispute against Adria New Zealand Limited, in relation to the product Sledge 700WG. The parties have resolved the dispute without any admissions of liability, and Adria New Zealand Limited has removed Sledge 700WG from sale in New Zealand.

 

Saflufenacil is the active ingredient in BASF’s Kixor® technology, contained within Sharpen® Herbicide and Voraxor® Herbicide, amongst other BASF brands globally. Its key applications provide effective solutions against difficult to manage weeds across a range of crop systems worldwide.
