Building a Better BASF: Our Commitment to Gender Equality

There's some exciting news to share on the gender equality front! BASF Australia recently partnered with WORK180, a well-respected organization that helps companies like ours become the best places for women to work.

Work180 assesses and benchmarks companies against leading diversity, inclusion and equity practices. They also provide industry endorsement for organizations that are truly committed to supporting women's careers. BASF Australia has been a proud endorsed employer for women by Work180 since September 2023. This partnership has been instrumental in raising the company's organizational standards and policies to ensure women can continue to thrive at BASF Australia.

One key aspect of the partnership is the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Assessment. This tool functions as a roadmap for driving change and involves an annual review of BASF Australia's DEI initiatives, policies, and quantitative metrics.

BASF Australia is proud to share an overall increase of 7%, from 41% to 48% in the female representation within the company over the last 6 months. As an organization, BASF Australia has prioritized implementing policies and initiatives to encourage the attraction and retention of talented women across the 10 key standards assessed by Work180.
