BASF Coatings enters into a strategic partnership for the aftersales market
BASF’s Coatings division announces that BMW Group has selected the premium refinish brands Glasurit and R-M among their preferred paint brands for its aftersales network. This strategic partnership includes 50 markets where BMW Group is not present with its private label. Cosmet’Agora 2025: BASF showcases recent product launches and advances in climate-adaptive beauty routines
Paris, France – January 14, 2025 – At Cosmet'Agora, January 14–15 in Paris, BASF will open a new chapter in its Beyond Beauty journey. With an innovative formulation concept being launched at the show, the company is taking a multifaceted approach to sustainability. The featured formulas meet the needs of eco-conscious consumers while addressing challenges in personal care posed by changing environmental conditions. The concept reflects sustainability, transparency, and science that drive the Beyond Beauty approach and innovation strategy of BASF’s personal care business. “At BASF, we take our responsibility seriously. We contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals with eco-conscious solutions, and we care about consumer needs for new beauty routines,” said Valérie Pian-Parison, Senior Marketing Manager France. BASF experts will be available for one-on-one exchanges at booth 146-147-148 to discuss new textures as well as ingredient circularity, sourcing traceability, and carbon footprint reporting.
BASF to sell Styrodur® business to BACHL
Ludwigshafen, Germany – BASF has signed an agreement with Karl Bachl Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH & Co. KG (BACHL) for the sale of its business with Styrodur®, an insulation material made from extruded polystyrene (XPS). BACHL is one of the leading manufacturers of insulation materials in Germany, an experienced XPS producer and a long-standing Styrodur® distribution partner of BASF. The sale also includes the brand Styrodur®. Approximately 50 employees in production, marketing and sales at BASF SE are involved in this business. The affected employees will remain with BASF SE. Subject to the approval of the relevant competition authorities, the completion of the sale is expected by mid-2025. The parties have agreed to keep the financial details of the transaction confidential.

BASF to sell Food and Health Performance Ingredients business to Louis Dreyfus Company
BASF has signed a binding agreement to sell its Food and Health Performance Ingredients business, including the production site in Illertissen, Germany, to Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), a leading global merchant and processor of agricultural goods including high-quality, plant-based ingredients. BASF’s Food and Health Performance Ingredients portfolio plays a vital role in addressing growing trends in human nutrition. However, the business has limited synergies and integration into BASF and is no longer a strategic focus area.
