Senior Accounting Manager

We are looking for candidates with a keen eye for detail, strategic planning skills and a deep understanding of financial reporting, to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency in all financial operations, drive financial success and contribute to the growth of our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure orderly, timely and effective bookkeeping of external and internal business transaction
Ensure compliant and efficient internal and externalaccounting / reporting in compliance with local law and BASFGuidelines
Timely payment of vendor obligations, examination of vendor accounts, determining balances and adjustment of differences
Treasury management and assure proper relationship to the local banks
Supervise calculation and performing of payments of tax obligations (VAT, taxes, income tax, withholding tax) and dividend payments
Supervie companies long- and short-term assets
Perform monthly, half-yearly and yearly reporting towardslocal authorities and in house
Asure and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closing according to Group guidelines and local law requirements
Supervise travel claim calculation (domestic & foreign)
Manage external and internal audits for BASF Slovenia
Optimize work processes in Accounting department

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Economics or Business Adsministration
Complex experience in Accounting & Balancing
SAP knowledge & overall very good IT skills
Fluency in Slovenian, very good English proficiency inwritten and spoken
Competencies: analytical thinking, strong interpersonalskills, proactive attitude, problem solving, correctness,commitment to deadlines, team spirit (inter-departmentalcooperation), adaptability
