Styrolanlage Standort Ludwigshafen. Die Styrol-Wertschöpfungskette beginnt im Steamcracker. Hier werden aus dem Rohstoff Naphta (Rohbenzin) u. a. Ethylen und Benzol gewonnen. Beide Grundchemikalien sind Ausgangsprodukte für Styrol.

Styrol ist Einsatzstoff für die Herstellung von Dispersionen, vor allem aber von Schaumstoffen und anderen Kunststoffen. Styrene Plant Ludwigshafen. The styrene value adding chain begins in the steam cracker. This is where, among others products, ethylene and benzene are extracted from the feedstock naphtha (petroleum).  Both basic chemicals are used as raw materials in the production of styrene. Styrene is used to manufacture dispersions but above all foams and other plastics.
