Styrene Plant Ludwigshafen. The styrene value adding chain begins in the steam cracker. This is where, among others products, ethylene and benzene are extracted from the feedstock naphtha (petroleum). Both basic chemicals are used as raw materials in the production of styrene. Styrene is used to manufacture dispersions but above all foams and other plastics. What we expect

You’re studying industrial or civil engineering in mechanics and you’re interested in process chemistry. At this moment you are going to start your master studies, or you’re already in the middle them.

You like to work in a team and are open to new experiences. You easily communicate and you approach tasks in a target oriented and innovative manner. You dare to take initiative and you’re not afraid to take responsibility.

To be able to complete an internship at BASF you must be registered at a university during your internship.
