At BASF there are three routes to your thesis placement:

Internship: You complete an internship with us, and use the opportunity to make contacts and arrange a future placement.

Job postings: You search our job database for current thesis placement opportunities and apply directly.

Unsolicited application: You can send us an unsolicited application,  specifying the area you wish to focus on, when you would like to start, and the preferred duration of the placement.  

You can convince us with your performance and have excellent technical and foreign language skills. You are open to other cultures and fields of work. You have already gained practical industry experience and have participated in relevant activities outside the university environment.

Because we work in teams, you also have the relevant communication and teamwork skills. If you also demonstrate initiative and are willing to accept responsibility - we would love to hear from you.

When writing your Bachelor's, Master's or diploma thesis with us, your commitment and skills are important - as a scientist, engineer, business manager or humanist.

If you are studying chemistry, physics, biology, agriculture or another natural science you can start in the research and development department.

As an engineering student there are opportunities in process technology, chemistry, bio-engineering, mechanical engineering, and electro-technology.

The business functions options include procurement, logistics, finance, controlling, marketing, human resources, and communications just to name a few.

You can develop your thesis from your own ideas and work with us to help drive innovative projects forward.  Benefit from ideal conditions such as individual support and the best working and research opportunities.
