After a successful tenure of 7 years as Managing Director, Markus Solibieda said goodbye to his role at BASF Venture Capital GmbH on October 31, 2023 and took on a new role. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Markus Bold will take over as the newly appointed Managing Director effective November 1, 2023, leading BASF Venture Capital GmbH into a promising future.

Dr. Markus Bold (PhD in chemistry, studies in Marburg and Edinburgh) is a highly experienced professional in the chemical industry. He gained broad insights into BASF since 2001, with expertise in research, controlling, staff functions, global marketing, M&A, corporate strategy and corporate entrepreneurship. 5 years of his career, Markus spent in the United States, all other years in Germany.
In addition to his role as the founder of Chemovator, the BASF Business Incubator, Markus has been serving as the Managing Director of BASF Venture Capital GmbH since November 2023.
